New Song – Do It Again

I asked my friend GS to give me 10 things that struck her mind when I mentioned a word (not going to reveal here as I believe every song has to be interpreted in the audience’s own way). Her reply was: happiness, stressed, tired, guilty, euphoric, competitive, anticipation, dread, confusion, frustration.

Here is the lyrics of the new song.

Do It Again

You know something that is, something that is true
You can’t help but to, do it again, do it again
You dread this moment that you face … but here it goes again

You keep running away, lying to yourselves
You keep falling but you, do it again, do it again
This secret pleasure that you feel … you have been there before

Seducing you, this euphoric feeling that is blinding you
Confusing you, with what is right and with what is consuming you
This guilty feeling starts to spread all over you
Losing control to this temptation
Do it again, you so want to
Do it again, though you so dread to
Do it again, though it’s frustrated to
Do it again, you feel you just have to

Anticipation, that is running, in your veins, in your veins
You’re getting closer, you really really shouldn’t, but you do it again, do it again
You are tired, every steps you take, everything you get, all that you spent
How long more, will you realise that this happiness will never last
Do it again, do it again, do it again, do it again
How long more, will you realise that this happiness will never last

You know something that is, something that is true
You can’t help but to, do it again, do it again
You dread this moment that you face … but here it goes again

Seducing you, this euphoric feeling that is blinding you
Confusing you, with what is right and with what is consuming you
This guilty feeling starts to spread all over you
Losing control to this temptation
Do it again, you so want to
Do it again, though you so dread to
Do it again, though it’s frustrated to
Do it again, you feel you just have to
Do it again, you so want to
Do it again, though you so dread to
Do it again, though it’s frustrated to
Do it again, you feel you just have to

New Sales Strategy …

Lately, I have been shopping for the solar panel for my car. I texted my car agent and he put me through this company that installs the brand of a solar panel that I have not heard of. So this salegirl called me up and explained to me what products they offer. After the call, she texted me her contact number and a website that contains her blog on not only her personal life, but also photos of all the cool cars that she has come across.

I must say that it is a very cool strategy. Her assets – pleasant looking with a decent personality – that are not able to put through the voice call are now shining through her own blog site. Next time if I have a company, the recruitment criteria would be:

1. Is she hot?
2. Is she hot?
3. Is she hot?
4. Does she blog and willing to share her blog with her potential clients and clients?

Of Blue Light and Sunrise

Photos taken by my phone

[A]
Fed up with the frequent screen black out and system restart, I opted to do another “mini-upgrade” to my computer. As wise people would say, since you can never locate the exact cause of problem, just keep upgrading and your problem will one day be gone.

So, here was what I did. I added a moderate hard-disk of 300GB with the latest technology that supposed to perform better (the entire system now has 660GB disk space), added a moderate 1GB memory (now 2GB overall), and a brand new casing with additional fans (purchased separately) that suppose to solve my over-heat problem – if that was a problem to start with. Nicely surprised I was, this new casing come with fans that emits blue light (as seen in the picture).

So far so good, I have been loving my computer. But if past experience has one thing to teach me, never say “yay” too early.

A rare occasion required me to wake up at 6 in the morning and indeed it is rare for me to admire the sunrise (middle picture). It was beautiful beyond words. Funny thing is Nature offers us so much that we human beings just keep ignoring it each and every day. Now I have noted down in my to-do list that I wish to see sunset at Santosa. I really do wish … (or Malacca for that matter).

PS. All pictures taken with my N80. (Nokia should pay me for publicity.)

Photos that My Phone N80 has Taken (So Far)

Alright. So I got this cool new phone of mine and I have been taking photographs like no others business. From top left-hand corner clockwise, here we go!

Cynthia and her dessert when we dined at one of the nice restaurant at Millennia Walk. Ah … the German beer, sausage, and lovely dessert. Next is an amazing Latte that Spinelli has offered. At first I was wondering why he took so long to make my Latte and now I know. See that lovely lady? Well, we were on a boat ride to one of the military sites and I thought the image is pretty crisp clear. Next, back in the office, that is my guitarist of my band Jason and the ex-member Jeremy who was playing the guitar when the photo was taken. Last, was that a beach resort that I have visited while my wife was away? Not at all! My client site that is.

Diary My Favorite

To the Attic

In my own home, I chanced upon one of my oldest diaries that has one of Robert Doisneau’s famous photos as the cover (see the picture). Reading what I have written 16 years ago, it was a surreal experience. I kept asking myself: was I there? Did it really happen? Who was that girl? The passion that I had was just overwhelming. Skipping through the pages, I had the desire to recover my 2nd diary (that comes with a lock by the way). I am lucky to have found the “lost” diary and of course, the key to the diary was long lost. But that didn’t stop me from reading what I have written 15 years ago.

Looking back, I think writing diary is a good habit and I think technology has somewhat “murdered” this good old fashion habit. Nothing beats pen and paper when it comes down to diary. I think I should start writing diary again. What I have written 16 years ago, I can still retrieve and read. What I have written in the website or in all these electronic documents, I doubt if I can retrieve them 16 years later. That applies to the photographs we take as well. Have them printed and not just in electronic forms.

Alright, two more items added to my shopping list: a diary and a photo printer.

American Idol Final 3

American Idol Final 3 episode is probably the best episode to watch. Though I have a personal preference to Katherine McPhee, watching the performance from Elliot Yamin, Taylor Hicks, and Katherine herself, it is kind of hard to tell which one is the best. They are all so good in their own way. Elliot, the underdog, whom I believe he has the best male vocal and all the wonderful riffs best suit in singing blue songs which I love a lot. Taylor, with his soothing and effortless singing and his so loosen-up, so totally enjoy himself when he is on stage. And Katherine, probably the most charming of all, with her stage presence and wonderful range that many may not get to appreciate the difficulties in the songs (midway key switch and all). I hate to see any one of them going home.

From the performance last night, I gather that most probably Katherine would be safe. Between Taylor and Eliot, Taylor has the more electrifying performance in the end. Not sure how true are the voting figures when the show flashed them on the big screen, the differences between each three of them were within less than 1%. That is pretty darn close.

It is not until Elliot get voted out did I realized that how much I actually like that guy – his love to his family and his passion in life. If he ever comes up with a record (blue music please), I will definitely buy it (I said no to Cynthia last time and by the way, I think Cynthia will be much devastated when she learns that Elliot is out).

PS1. I still don’t think I will buy Taylor’s album should he releases one.
PS2. Why Elliot?! Why not Taylor?! Sigh.
PS3. Well, good news! For sure, Cynthia and I will be voting for the same person next week … that is Katherine of course … Duh?!

I Googled Myself

Out of boredom, I typed in “Wilfrid Wong” in Google and see what it came out. Not surprised not surprised, this website came up as the first item (Yay?). Surprised surprised, my product rating and comments at Amazon.com has come up as well (Wow?).

Asia Movies Rock! (And Some Others Too)

This month has to be a month of Asian movies. Five of the seven movies I have watched are from Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong. So where shall I begin? Ah, the beautiful Korea Actress Son Ye-jin (The Classic) in the romance comedy The Art of Seduction. The movie was immensely entertaining with Son Ye-jin playing the seductress faced off with her seducer. Need not to say, I was very much seduced throughout the show.

What I did not expect was the action packed romance drama show Daisy. I thought I was up for a romance comedy and I was wrong. Jeon Ji-hyn – none other than the famous actress behind My Sassy Girl and Windstruck – played the painter who found herself in love with a government agent and an assassin in a miss-timed fashion. There is a nice twist at the end and you just have to watch and see.

The Sentinel played by Michael Douglas, Kiefer Sutherland, and Kim Basinger has surprisingly exceeded my expectation. Is it a movie that has re-watch value? Probably not. Though the plot is less of an original but it does give you the level of suspense that kept you entertained till the end.

Of all the Korea movie I have watched so far, You Are My Sunshine – a movie that I kept forgetting that it is based on a true story – is one of the best. The actors and actresses may not be the typical Korean eye candies. But their acting is more than adequate to make you realise that Koreans can make serious movies. In fact, out of 7 nominations of the 26th Blue Dragon Awards, the show has won the Best Director, Best Actor and Best Couple award. The movie starts with an unmarried farmer who has fallen in love with a pretty waitress at a local coffee shop who provides more service than just coffee delivery to her customers. It is a romance tragedies and it reveals the essence of love that though many may not be able to relate but definite able to celebrate with.

I have always been intrigued by Japanese Animation. When Final Fantasy VII – Advent Children first hit the store, I grabbed one home. I was delighted and amazed at how fast pace and beautiful crafted the movie is. I wish I have followed the Final Fantasy franchise since the beginning. That way, I could have appreciated the movie much more.

Jasmine Women played by Zhang Ziyi and Joan Chen is about three generations of women living through the Japanese occupation, rise of Chinese communism, and the modern 80s. In this three chapters of stories of three generations, Zhang Ziyi always plays the younger one (daughter or granddaughter) and Joan Chen always plays the older one (mother or grandmother). It is a story starts with a decision of not to carry out an abortion and ends with the same decision that needs to be made. A very emotional movie I must say and Zhang Ziyi’s acting was superb.

Finally, Mission Impossible 3. Or simply M:i:III. Awesome, it is awesome. By far the best Mission Impossible movies I have watched. I seriously do not remember any bits and pieces of the previous installments (except the pigeons flying off when Tom Cruise walked by … that scene, remember?) but the storyline of this latest installment is well-crafted. It was never a dull moment from beginning till the end.

Oh Dear Katherine …

How time flies. This is the third week I am blogging on American Idol and I can’t believe that Katherine McPhee has made me worried once and again. Well, since there are four left – 3 guys and 1 girl – if she doesn’t screw up at all, she can easily get to the final. Alright, we shall see. Personally, I thought her 2nd song Can’t Help Falling In Love moves me.

I am a geek, I am not a geek, I am a geek, I am not a geek. I don’t know. I reckon not to stress myself up and learn what my new phone can offer (catching up on 6 years of mobile phone technology as a couple of days ago, I still lived in 2000). Yesterday was on how to transfer media files using USB cable. Today, I tried using my home wireless network. I was so surprised that my mobile phone can “talk” to my computer after 101 steps of configuration. The WEP key itself felt like 101 characters.

Anyway, I am pleased with my new phone. Very pleased. I do recommend N80. Go get it!

N80!

My first phone was the Erisson 688 (96-00). My second phone was Nokia 8-series (00-06). Finally I have waited long for this N80 phone. At times I am amazed by my own patience. Seriously …
