- Going for a Silk Road trip with my buddy Ken (he takes pictures and I write the journal) and have the book published, the photos sent for exhibitions, and to explore the business opportunities along the way (I tried talking him into me playing at the pubs at night but he was not too sure on that)
- Playing gigs at one of the Southeast Asia locations to promote my songs (initial thoughts on Manila but Jason told me recently that Bandung, Indonesia is quite happening these days)
- Getting a PhD a.k.a. permanent head damage (kidding) on something that I have a passion on
- Writing a book with a synopsis that Cynthia found it original and brilliant
… are one step closer to reality. That is if my foot actually lands somewhere.
Days ago, I spent S$60 on the book “Against The Day” by Thomas Pynchon after reading some interesting reviews on that book that is 1,120 pages thick. I was intrigued by the concept but I doubted if I can finish it even before I bought it. (Why did I buy that then? Well, the sleeve design of the hardcover edition is very beautiful and I could not resist the challenge.) Now that I have this nice long break, while in search of what to do next with my life, definitely a wonderful opportunity to start reading it.

hmm… how about mine? ummm……
– write a christian book (as strongly strongly recommended by my brother… hahaha… dunno why he keeps reminding me…. or… it’s really a call from God??!)
– lying on the green, seeing the sky bursts with stars, and sharing the most inner feelings, at night with the one l love (woooo~~~ soooo romantic…. hehe..)
– PhD? I always wish to take one… yes, same as bro… take one on a subject that I have passion on… the final outcome should be me helping more people… must be something meaningful. ;>
… umm… having three dreams first for now… and let’s not being too greedy… hehe.. 😛
Now that you have your 3 dreams, the next step is to … tada … take the next step! Your 1st dream is very doable. Definitely have potential judging at the stuffs in your blog. Your 2nd dream … erm … good luck! As for PhD … ya … always nice. Finding a topic is the next step I guess.
hey dude, am a little shocked and definitely surprised that you have left EY and i had no clue about it…well maybe the first thing you should do is to complete the recording of all the songs you have ever written…after that, some of the songs could be used as demos to secure some gigs
Hiya, definitely a good idea. Somehow the progress is a bit slow but then again, now that I have all the time in the world … hahaha.
At the same time, I am asking Cynthia to pick 5 songs for me to memorise (memorising songs is even harder than those recording … hahaha). Probably 2 high tempo (146+), 2 slow ones (76-), and one mid tempo (120). Good idea? I am aiming for some open mics in KL.
