Lora - You know, as I watched this movie, I was thinking of Avatar as a World of Warcraft film that could have never been. I think there has been talks for ages on bringing the game to the big screen. If that had happened, it would have looked very much like Avatar.

In fact, Avatar is very much like Warcraft meets Starcraft! Benny will know what I mean ... lol.

G - Merry Christmas to you too! Yes, the storyline is pretty predictable. I wonder what makes some predictable stories least criticized.

The similarities are in fact striking, especially for those who have been playing the game for years.

Thanks Brother and Cyn for the lovely Christmas dinner. :) It's always nice to be with family in these festivals.

Oh... In fact, when I first looked at the poster of Avatar, my first reaction to Benny was 'So, this is a movie putting World of Warcraft on the big screen?' To me, the graphic and costume seem to be very similar... :P

Merry Christmas!

I caught Avatar yesterday (the non 3D version. alas!) and I wondered if I was the only one who wasn't quite wow-ed by it :S
Have to agree that the technology was great but the storyline was a tad predictable in the end and I have a super short attention span so I got fidgety!

Thanks for sharing the similarities between the movie and WoW! Interesting indeed and I do agree that there are similarities! ack!
