CSC - If I have the skill and the experience like you and if I have the CPU fan ready, I would definitely OC the quad core to see how high I can get. And while I am at it, I would OC the 8800GT too! I will need liquid nitrogen to cool my machine!

Yep! Same video card, CPU, mobo, ram! Scary!

I haven't overclocked at the moment. Maybe, I will in future. I have overclocked quite a bit in the past. I got a few industrial strength fans because my fans have died previously and that lead to a system-wide collapse after. Not funny.

Yes, I was also quite pro-AMD but lately, their microprocessors have been disappointing. Sadly, I am back to evil Intel.

Cynthia, assembling PCs is simplicity itself. It's so much easier these days. Besides, a shop can also do it. I think true geekdom would be programming in assembly or c at least. I don't find the current consumer mobile phone and ipods to be geeky at all, I call that consumerism, consumer electronics! Hahaha.

CSC - Hey, our two systems are actually very similar! Both a quad core, both using 8800GT, and both using 4GB RAM (same chipset, i.e. motherboard, some more).

I notice that you have a Zalman fan. Do you OC? How far can you reach? I read that Q6600 can OC up to 3 GHz. Or at least 2.8 GHz. My vendor told me that if I OC, the warranty is void. Not sure if I shall play with my S$500+ investment that way.
